The Eclipse Mylyn API has changed considerably during the last months. We are currently in the process of adapting the Track+ Mylyn adapter to the new API.

We expect to publish the new adapter at the end of March.

Yes, it is actually running, but not ready yet. We are concentrating on release 3.5.0 now, and will release the Mylyn adapter shortly thereafter. Estimate is in about 6 weeks.

Dear Track+ Support - Team - Member!

Is there an update on a release date for the Mylyn adapter??

Actually I really want to use Track+ for further projects, but the current situation is very unsatisfying to me.
I am definitely not the only customer who is disappointed about how we receive information about this crucial software.
In my opinion Track+ seems unnecessary luxury without an Mylyn Adapter to me.

If you could tell me a release that with which I could manage my projects!! This unreliable release management force me to use a rivalry product...

Sincerely
Iraklis

Some more information here:

The Mylyn Adapter is using the Track+ web service interface. We have to make sure that this interface is rather stable, since we do not want to change it in future versions, or at least only in a backward compatible way. The API change history of Mylyn in the past has caused us a significant amount of extra work, and we do not want that our users experience the same problems.

To give you an idea about why it takes so much time to develop the adapter:

In Track+ you can configure screens interactively. You can configure a screen layout, defining where each attribute shows, create panels, and so on. The screen layouts can be specific for each project type, project and issue type. The web service supports this layout, which means that the Mylyn adapter will also honor the Track+ screen layouts. For example, the layout of the "edit" action screen in Mylyn has a dynamically defined layout just like the Track+ web interface itself. This requires a complex logic, but also provides for a very flexible and powerful approach.

At the same time we test that the web service works also from a .NET environment. There are a number of special quirks that need to be resolved to have the entire functionality also provided from non-Java environments.

So please hang in there. We hope to provide you with a really good solution very soon. Coding is pretty much complete, and we have done some significant amount of testing already. More testing is planned until September 19, and then we will decide whether we are ready to release. The Mylyn adapter release will have to coincide with a matching Track+ release, so we also need to make sure that the Track+ release is ready by that time.

Hello Support,

We are very interested in the .NET web service integration. We primary want to be able to list the content of open issues in one project on a page in SharePoint 2007. Will this be possible with the .NET web service you are working on?

Regards,
Magnus
