Trackmylyn (Eclipse Mylyn Connector for Track+)

Trackmylar is a connector for the Eclipse Mylyn task based user interface(see http://www.eclipse.org/mylyn).

Mylyn is a task-focused UI for Eclipse that reduces information overload and makes multi-tasking easy. It does this by making tasks a first class part of Eclipse, and integrating rich and offline editing for repositories such as Track+. Once your tasks are integrated, Mylyn monitors your work activity to identify information relevant to the task-at-hand, and uses this task context to focus the Eclipse UI on the interesting information, hide the uninteresting, and automatically find what's related. This puts the information you need to get work done at your fingertips and improves productivity by reducing searching, scrolling, and navigation. By making task context explicit Mylyn also facilitates multitasking, planning, reusing past efforts, and sharing expertise. (adopted from Eclipse Mylyn home page)

Trackmylyn is provided as open source under the GNU General Public License. You have to have access to a Track+ server release 3.6.0 or later to use Trackmylyn.

Prerequisites

To run Trackmylyn you need

• Eclipse IDE 3.4 or later on your computer
• The Eclipse Mylyn 3.0 or later plugin
• Track+ 3.6.0 or later on some web server
• A user account on that Track+ server
• Trackmylyn (this is what you get here)

Trackmylyn works with Eclipse Ganymede (3.4) and Galileo (3.5)

The Trackmylyn adapter support the latest versions of Mylyn and Eclipse Ganymede (3.4) and the new Eclipse Galileo (3.5). You need to update to the latest Trackmylyn version if you have trouble getting your Track+ server 3.6.x connected to Mylyn.

Mylyn works with Track+ Release 3.6.x and 3.7.x

There have been considerable API changes between Mylar 1.0 and Mylyn 3.0. Trackmylyn therefore does not work on version prior to Track+ 3.6.0. Please upgrade to this release if you want to use Trackmylyn.
