Restrict Access to Item Types

You can restrict access for each role to specific item types. By default, a role can access all item types. You can, for example, give customers access to only one specific item type, but give your employees access to all of them.

First, you must be logged in as a system manager or system administrator.

  1. Switch to Administration. In the main menu, select Customize > User Roles.

  1. Select a role by clicking on it, then click on “Task Type Assignment” on the toolbar. By dragging item types from one column to another, you can make them available or restrict access to them. If you do not have any item types in the right column, all item types are available.

  1. When you are done, click the “Done” button in the lower right corner of the configuration popup window.

You have now restricted access to some item types for users who have that role in a workspace.
