Manage Base Calendars

With the help of base calendars, you can influence the availability of your resources, e.g., predefined days off, public holidays, and plant closures. Resources such as employees can enter their days off or additional working days on a base calendar.

To add or edit base calendars, go to Administration > Templates > Base Calendars. You change the regular weekdays off via “Edit”. By selecting “Add basic exception”, you can add the following exceptions to the base calendar:

  • General non-working day

  • Recurring non-working day

  • General working day

The first type is suitable for holidays that do not have a fixed date, such as Good Friday or White Monday. The second type is suitable for public holidays that always occur on the same date, such as May 1st (Labor Day) or December 25th (Christmas). The third type is suitable, for example, for special shifts or weekend work.
