The traffic light diagram illustrates the status of a project with regard to its adherence to schedules, its effort, and quality. The criteria for red, yellow and green can be selected.

The traffic light chart tile offers the following configuration options:

  • Filter which workspaces or items should be considered

  • Select which of the three categories “Deadline”, “Effort” and “Quality” should be displayed

  • The past period that should still be considered. Items prior to this will not be counted as they are no longer considered relevant to the current project status.

  • The percentage of problematic items above which the project is displayed as “yellow”

  • The percentage of problematic items above which the project is displayed as “red”

  • The statuses that mark an item as complete

  • The attribute name for the “Quality” criterion

The configuration of the tile looks like shown below.

For the calculation of the criterion “deadline” the items are marked as problematic, which are not completed are not completed according to the configured states for “completed” and whose end date or desired date is exceeded Items whose end date is later than the desired date are also marked as problematic.

For the calculation of the “effort” criterion, the items are marked as problematic whose projected effort, that is, the sum of the effort already incurred and the estimated remaining effort, exceeds the planned effort. Items are also flagged as problematic if their planned expense exceeds the budgeted expenditure.

For the calculation of the criterion “quality”, it is necessary that the items considered have a corresponding field configured on the “Edit” screen. The attribute type “quality” must be of the type “Simple selection list” and allows the marking of items that have been marked as completed but which do not have the desired result. Three values are possible (the names can be be changed, the meaning depends on the sequence):

  • unknown

  • all right

  • insufficient

Items are marked as problematic if their quality was marked as insufficient.
